Dragon Fruit is a beautiful tropical fruit from the cactus plant and is known for its vibrant color and digestive properties.
You’ll typically find three types of Dragon Fruit: yellow, white, and red.
Yellow Dragon Fruit or Pitahaya [pronounced peeta-hayah] is the sweetest variety and has the strongest digestive properties. With their crunchy seeds, you’ll love the eating experience of this fruit. Due to their high fiber content, enjoy one per day for optimal balance.
White Dragon Fruit is known for its vibrant magenta skin and white pulp. Its mild flavor makes it a perfect addition to sweet or savory salads and smoothies. For an easy snack, drizzle some honey on your White Dragon Fruit and enjoy!
Red Dragon Fruit has a deep magenta pulp and skin and has a more earthy flavor. It is great in smoothies or desserts, mixed with other sweeter fruits.
How to Cut & Enjoy Dragon Fruit
  1. Rinse the fruit and place it on a cutting board.
  2. Slice it in half lengthwise.
  3. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon, or peel the skin away by hand.
  4. Cut into cubes or slices as desired. For a fun presentation, use a melon baller to scoop out the pulp, then add it back into the empty shell. drizzle with honey and decorate with a mint leaf.
