Sweetening the World Since 1989 has been our motto since the company was founded by Brazilian Homero Levy de Barros in Germany more than 30 years ago. Over the past three decades, we’ve proudly shared our love of high-quality fresh, nutritious, and delicious exotic fruits with wholesalers, retailers, and individual customers. We supply close to 10 countries across Europe, the United States, and Canada from our headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and our European sister company, HLB Tropical Food in Kelsterbach (Germany), as well as our warehousing locations in California, Florida, Texas, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Rambutan season is here! If you haven’t yet tried rambutan, here are some quick facts: the flavor is sweet & juicy, similar to a peeled grape with a firmer texture. To enjoy, remove the outer layer with a knife, your nails, or slightly bite into it to form a small cut. Remove the red shell and enjoy the white pulp. Avoid the large almond-shaped seed inside. Discard seed & red skin.
